Performance at Memorial Hall

It was a Wednesday night a couple weeks ago when I went to the Mumbai Benefit Concert. It was to raise money for help to the victims of the terrrorists attacks that had been going on in India. It only cost $3 yet was the best concert I ever went to. There was no program, so initially I had no idea who was going to sing or perform. There eneded up being various UNC a cappella groups including: The Lorilies, Alliance, and the Walk On's. Then after some singing a traditional Indian dance group from UNC performed. I had never seen anything like it! It was amazing. It was neat to see that even though we came from a different culture, we could still enjoying something similar: dancing. The joy on their faces was true joy and it overflowed into the crowd. I also thought it was touching to see that the people in the audience were from different cultures, but that we could all gather to support a cause in a time of need. Any chance you get to go to a benefit concert go, because you will experience more than just the performance!
